The New York Jets’ fortunes are turning after the Sauce Gardner trade, stacking up premium picks and emerging talent like Kenyan Sadiq and A.D. Mitchell. With the Indianapolis Colts tumbling to an 0-2 start, their draft pick could land inside the top 16, fueling the Jets’ rebuilding fire in a loaded class. Mitchell shows promise as a potential wide receiver three, despite early drop issues, further sweetening the trade’s impact.
Yet, while the roster features budding stars like Garrett Wilson, David Bailey, Armon Mimbu, and Breece Hall, the Jets still lack a true superstar or franchise quarterback. Can a wave of high draft capital and big free agency spending change that? With over $100 million to spend and control of key picks in 2027, expectations soar for a playoff breakthrough—especially if New York can land a dynamic signal-caller and add top-tier talent on both sides of the ball.
